Our Ethos

With every intent to keep the design and making process as hand made as possible, we only make small batches of products.

We try our best to use organic and sustainable fabrics when making our products. All cotton, linen and bamboo silk are GOTS certified. The silk twill is reclaimed. The cushion inners are sourced from a U.K supplier and is RDA certified.

Here are Jess Chan Textiles, we endeavour to be sustainable within the dyeing and printing process. Some natural dyes used within the dyeing process are sourced locally and seasonally and come from food waste, such as onion skins and avocado pits. The natural dyes used to produce the bamboo and silk scarves are dried and re-used to exhaust their colour. All binders and pigments used for silkscreen printing are water based and Certified GNA®.

We do our best to use as little plastic as possible when packaging your orders. We used acid free tissue and recycled bags with paper filling instead of plastic. Scarves are packaged in recycled paper boxes.

All products made by Jess Chan are hand dyed and hand silkscreen printed. All products are made and finished in the UK. Due to the nature of natural dyes, after frequent washing the colour will fade.
Scarf care: Please hand wash your scarf in mild detergent. Hang dry. Do not iron.
Linen and cotton aftercare: Please gentle wash your product at 30 degrees or hand wash with mild detergent. Hang dry. Iron on reverse only.

Here at Jess Chan we try to ensure that all photos as accurate and representable of goods. However, as all products are hand dyed in natural dyes and hand screen printed there may be slight variations in colour, design and print.
